Lastly, there was a goal for the Human <br />Services department to develop an evaluation system for providers they contract with and it <br />was adopted and revised again in 2018. <br />Ms. Waygan asked for comments from Board members. She inquired about the Head Start <br />program and looked to Michaela Colombo in the audience to come speak about this program. <br />Michaela Colombo- She stated Head start is a federally supported program for 4 year olds, <br />preschoolers, who come from economically disadvantaged families, to ensure they are up to <br />date with enrichment before they enter kindergarten. <br />Ms. Waygan noted the CCCD went under and that was a huge blow to the Head Start program <br />on the Cape. The YMCA stepped up after a gap of 6 months, now it's centrally located but <br />used to be across towns. <br />Ms. Colombo stated it is a full service school year program that lasts 5-6 hours a day. <br />Draft Survey <br />Mr. Lehrer met with Ms. Sweet this morning and the conversation centered on when it will be <br />available in Survey Monkey and when it will be beta tested. He was told it will be available <br />early next week, Monday/Tuesday, and he will send a link that he will provide to the Board. He <br />asks that Board members send it out to five people of their choosing. He will follow up early <br />next week. They want to know if the questions are easily understood, how long it is taking, and <br />was if functional. <br />Ms. Waygan noted the data will then be erased so those people can take if for real. <br />Mr. Hansen asked if there would be a place for commenting about not understanding a certain <br />question or thinking there should be another question to address something that was missed. <br />Ms. Waygan noted the feedback will be given through another survey link or as an e-mail. You <br />want to go through it, if you take stuff out you will need to beta test again. <br />Mr. Fulone suggested they keep a pad of paper next to them to write down any concerns. <br />Workshops and Focus Groups <br />August 24, 2022 Business Coffee Hour <br />7:30a-9:00a Mr. Lehrer will be holding a business coffee hour at the library.
