16 Great Neck Road North
Mashyee, .Massachusetts 02649
in the Chambers most recent newsletter, he made a flyer that he handed out to businesses. It
will be coffee and a donut, candid conversation, relatively informal just to dialogue with small
business community.
September 11, 2022 2:OOP.M. Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Council
He discussed with Ms. Sweet and Mr. Martin a general format to be used. He will touch base
with Board members prior to the meeting as well. He will be on vacation but he wants to make
sure everyone is up to speed for framework and discussion. Ms. Waygan would like to go over
everything at the next Planning Board meeting. Breaking out in tables might not be what
happens if the Tribal citizens want to go into a large circle, whatever they feel will work. Mr.
Lehrer will set up what they did at Southport and have a short presentation then open up to
discussion. It is during their general membership meeting.
Virtual Workshops
There will be two virtual workshop. Mr. Lehrer produced a flyer and draft letter for the virtual
workshop for parents of school age for review by the Superintendent to go home in backpacks
on the first day of school. He is looking at the last week in September to host this workshop as
there are 3 open houses at each of the schools. If they can have Planning Board members
staff a table to invite parents to participate in the workshop. He wants to get to each open
house to remind parents. Weston & Sampson will facilitate and do some in workshop voting
and polling to help define.
There will be a general virtual systems workshop, he is looking at the week of September 19tn
as he wants a month to advertise to have Weston & Sampson design the program. They
contemplated a general introduction, hopefully people can register so attendees can go to
breakout rooms on Natural, Built, and Community Systems. If it is left open then some groups
would be heavier, he wants participation to be more even.
Ms. Waygan asked if there will be one breakout session or two. She also wanted to know if
there would be a swat analysis or the groups would be one of the three systems.
Mr. Lehrer is proposing one breakout group for attendees to participate on one focused area
and come back and report. He will have visioning then the three systems. Visioning would be a
swat analysis then the breakout groups would be identifying systems and their needs. This will
most likely be held the week of the 19tn -23rd of September. Parents of school age children
would be the following week. He would like to begin advertising for these.
12
