Definitive Subdivision Plan <br /> Scott Bauer—8 Blue Castle Drive <br /> Submission of Two-Lot Definitive Subdivision Plan <br /> The Chairman called this, matter to order and recognized Steve Doyle, <br /> representing the Applicant, who made the submission, <br /> MOTION: Dennis Balzarini made a Motion to schedule a Public Hearing in this <br /> matter for April 2, 2008 at 7:05 pm.; which Motion was duly seconded by Thomas <br /> O'Hara and so voted unanimously. <br /> Review Of Subdivision Regulations <br /> Section VII Design Standards <br /> Suitability of Street System <br /> The Chairman recognized Catherine Laurent, Interim Director, Department of <br /> Public Works and invited her to join.the Board Members for this discussion. <br /> The Board deferred to Mr. Rowley for the following review: <br /> References were made to, "recornmendat ions for Road Construction for <br /> Subdivision Regulations" fiorn Catherine Laurent, dated February 20, 2008. <br /> A. Location and Alignment—There were no recommended changes to this <br /> section. <br /> B, Width-®No changes. <br /> C. Grade—Suggested change ftom .6%,to .75% for minimum grade. <br /> The sight distance should also relate to road speed. <br /> D. Easements—No changes, <br /> E. Road Construction Requirements—Road Prep -There was discussion <br /> regarding the possibility of designating space on the plan for the disposal of <br /> woodchips on/off site. <br /> Road Foundation—The Board agreed to a five(5) foot shoulder width. "All <br /> peat, silt, loam or similar yielding materials, or other materials not suitable for <br /> road foundation, shall be removed to a firm foundation for the full width of <br /> the right of way. <br /> Mr. Rowley was concerned with the suggestion of a 95%maximum dry <br /> density as determined by modified Proctor Testing, He suggested the lifts be <br /> restricted so that 8-,ft, of material is not being placed down at one tirne, and <br /> 5 <br />
