that it be compacted every 4 to 15 inches, and then testing the road base <br /> materials after the fill is in place, <br /> Mr. Rowley suggested the following: "All fill,material which may be <br /> required within the exterior lines on the way up to the road base shall consist <br /> of clean sand, gravel or other suitable material as approved by the Planning <br /> Board or its designee and shall be of maximum density with limited lifts of <br /> fifteen (15) inches. Subsequent work shall not commence until the Planning <br /> Board or its designee has approved the fill as acceptable for the application of <br /> the roadway foundation material," <br /> 3 - Road Base— Mr. Rowley agreed with the following language: "Traveled <br /> ways and shoulders shall be provided with a base consisting of at least twelve <br /> (12) inches compacted thickness of processed gravel."
