The site
landscaping article #258, at $5,000.00 should have been listed under storm
drainage #226. He suggested review of the way minor streets and major
arteries are being defined. He feels that a requirement of 3 1/2 inches of mix on
(minor) subdivision streets, some of which generate very light traffic, is
excessive.
Ms. Laurent explained her reasoning to be that where 3-inches are
specified on a,plan doesn't necessarily guarantee that amount has been put
down. As a safeguard, requiring 3 1/., would insure at least the 3-inches. She
also feels that fifty(50) houses warrant this greater amount,. She has also
separated commercial and industrial uses within the major/minor definition.
The Town Planner explained.that any non-residential property is classified
as a major street and held to the higher standard,
Ms, Laurent suggested imposing three different standards. She agreed that
the Planning Board Regulations be the standard for the Town, which would
also becoi-ne policy for the Department of Public Works for consistency,
Ms. Laurent agreed that erosion and sedimentation control should be
included as well.
The Town :Planner suggested stormwater management relative to nitrogen
as required in the Zoning Bylaw also be incorporated.
7
