Joanne Frye is the primary contact. Orange flags and banners are planned to be <br />installed within the inner portion of the rotary circle effective September 15 -- 30, 2023. On the official day, <br />September 30, 2023, the OVC Division of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Homeland Security Police <br />Department and participants (open to the public) will stand around the rotary holding positive posters ani <br />flags in support of Orange Shirt Day. <br />and the unmarked graves of some of the children, This is a positive non-violent event estimating about <br />60- 100 participants. There will be speakers and drumming. I <br />Applicable regulatory agencies have signed off on the Special Events Application with stipulations <br />imposed by the Department of Public Works. It was agreed this is an important day for the entire <br />community raising awareness, remembrance and honoring the Indigenous children forced into these <br />schools.
