Mr. Eddy stated Applicant has concerns regarding the construction of a sidewalk <br />on Noisy Hole Road for safety reasons. Currently there is, no signalized intersection or <br />crosswalks to Route 28, The SUb(ii-vision sidewalks are intended Ibr the subdivision <br />residents. Guiding youngsters on bicycles towards Route 28 is being discouraged. <br />Applicant is proposing a sidewalk design to be included within the intersection <br />design, <br />Mr. Eddy requested Planning Board approvall'or the reconstruction of Noisy Hole <br />Road based upon those conditions and recommendations outlined in Mr. Rowley's letter. <br />Thomas OHara expressed concern for the satbty of tile children getting to the bus <br />stop at Route 28 without sidewalks. <br />Attorney Kenney responded that there have been. discussions with the, Town of <br />Barnstable in this regard. The expectation is to design the school bus stops within the <br />confines of the development. not on Route 28, <br />Thomas O'Hara inquired about the agreement made between the Town. of <br />N4ashpee and the developer to complete the length of Noisy Hole Road to the end of the <br />property. <br />Attorney Kenney confirilled that Such an agreement was reached oil July 25, 2006 <br />and has been represented to, the Town of BaiIistable as well, Noisy Hole Road is to be, <br />rebuilt/repaved to the entranceway and just beyond (to the end of Applicant's property <br />line), to the Town of Mashpee specifications., <br />Attorney Kenney made reference to the plan specifying that from Route 28 to Just <br />beyond the entranceway the roadway will be built toTown of Mashpee Subdivision <br />Rules and Regulations, from that point to the end of the property line the road will be <br />repaved to 20-ft. width, <br />"COtUit Meadows Subdivision, 9999 Falmouth Road (ROLIte 28), Cotuit- <br />Barnstable, MA, prepared for Cotuit Equitable Housing, LLIC, P,0,Fox 95, Centerville, <br />MA 02632, Noisy Hole Road and Route 28, Intersection- Schematic Exhibit A, by Baxter, <br />Nye Engineed ng & Surveying, Dated 10/ 12/07" <br />Mr. Rowley asked about the thickness of proposed pavement of that section of <br />road beyond the subdivision entrance, <br />Mr. Eddy responded, "2 1/2-inches, per minor road subdivision standards, where <br />needed." He further stated that there are portions of the road that are paved and do not <br />require repair. Gravel will be replaced in those areas where warranted, potholes will be <br />repaired,'"rith a 2 1/2-inch repavement where needed. <br />F. <br />
