The appointed hour having arrived the Chairman read the Public Hearing notice <br /> into the record and called the Public Hearing to order. <br /> The Chairman then read the following letter into the record: From David Wood, <br /> Vice President and CEO of Willowbend addressed to the Mashpee Planning Board— "To <br /> Whom It May Concern, I am respectfully requesting a continuance of the Public Hearing <br /> to modify Willowbend Country Club Special Permit to Wednesday,July 16, 2008. <br /> Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions. Thank-you." <br /> MOTION: Dennis Balzarini made a Motion to continue the Public Hearing in <br /> this matter to July 16, 2008 at 7:30 p.m.; which Motion was duly seconded by Thomas <br /> O'Hara and so voted unanimously. <br /> At this point the Chairman recognized Jim Green, 10 North Glen Drive, <br /> Willowbend Community, who voiced his concern regarding continuances in this matter, <br /> stating it is unfair to those concerned who have objections and are making the attempt to <br /> be present for discussion. <br /> He asked if he would be allowed to make comments regarding some of his <br /> concerns as part of the record for this Meeting. <br /> The Chairman advised Mr. Green that he would not be appropriate to make <br /> comment. She did however suggest that in the future he contact the Planning Department <br /> the day of the next scheduled Public Hearing to inquire whether or not the Planning <br /> Department has received official request for a continuance. <br /> Correspondence <br /> Letter of Interest—Associate Member Position <br /> Mary Waygan <br /> The Chairman read the letter into the record, "I am writing to ask the Planning <br /> Board to consider me for the position of Associate Planning Board Member of the Town <br /> of Mashpee. Professionally, I work for the Town of Yarmouth as an Administrative <br /> Assistant in the Department of community Development. In Mashpee I volunteer time as <br /> a Girl Scout Leader. I hope you will look upon my petition favorably as I feel my work <br /> on the Planning board will benefit Mashpee as a whole." <br /> The Town Planner reported that he has forwarded a copy of said letter to the <br /> Selectmen's Office. <br /> Morris, Rossi & Hayes <br /> Simmons v.
