He
confirmed there is no construction proposed in that site.
Mr. Oakley commented with the triangle already defining that parcel, if at any time during
construction something is found or possibly disturbed, there needs to be an assessment
completed prior for archeological purposes.
Mr. Healy noted they inform the contractor of the location and if something is found
construction stops and no further work happens.
Mr. Oakley wants this archeological site assessment to be done prior to construction. Mr.
Balzarini agreed.
Ms. Waygan acknowledged PAL has new equipment since the last study was carried out. She noted this intersects four streets with 7 or 8 curb cuts. There are 50 cars within
a five-minute span entering and exiting New Seabury. In the summer there is significantly more
traffic, and it is already very difficult to cross the street. She would like to know when this
project is slated to begin. It is very difficult to cross the street safely and she would like to know
when this project will begin.
Mr. Pesce answered her question about the depression, stating it's a lower area of topography,
almost like a circular bowl. It is at the perfect location that won't require the building or
construction of one.
Ms. Faulkner stated they can look into ways of making that area safer for pedestrians.
Tom Stark — He stated Native American bones and artifacts were located across the street,
there is a fenced off old cemetery. The Cottages were built within 50 feet, who is to say that
N.
