apof MASFe
INC. IBIN
n
AOTamnw M
Board
16 Great Neck Road
North
Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649
more widely known to most as Princess Evening Star, was a historian who often hosted small
pow wows. The site in and around would still be considered historic.
Ms. Waygan thinks a traffic study is a good idea, there could be suggestions to make that
intersection better. The DPW could also be a resource. New Seabury is co -owned, and this
property is being developed by the same company. It would be nice to look at that intersection
and figure out traffic calming suggestions. She would gladly spend the money on that.
Mr. Pesce stated in defense of the application, a 7-house subdivision does not cause concern
for capacity at the traffic level. That doesn't mean there isn't a problem. He would not
recommend an impact study be done by the Applicant. Now we are adding to traffic, so we
should ask the DPW Director if she may have any calming ideas.
Ms. Waygan suggested the DPW be contacted. They may not require a traffic study, but would
like an analysis of the intersection and recommendations that would make it safer.
Mr. Balzarini is concerned about taking a left turn and a car is speeding down Great Oak Road.
Additionally, with the Cottages, there is increased traffic.
Ms. Waygan asked how drinking water is being brought into this site and it was reported they
would have town water with a hydrant at the end of the cul-de-sac and end of the street.
MOTION:
Mr. Balzarini made a motion to continue this Public Hearing for the Special Permit
at Great Oak Road to June 5, 2024 at 7:10PM. Seconded by Ms. Waygan. All in
favor.
MOTION:
Mr. Balzarini made a motion to continue this Public Hearing for the Definitive
Subdivision at Great Oak Road to June 5, 2024 at 7:15 PM. Seconded by Ms.
Waygan.
