16 Great Neck RoadNorth
Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649
dumps. He left a job to come here tonight, he is upset about this whole thing, it is all about
money and nothing about residents. The engineers didn't even make it tonight!
It was suggested, due to the proponents not being present, that the Public Hearing stop. Ms.
Waygan is keeping the Public Hearing open, if the project proponent can come that's great, but
it is not being closed, we are continuing due to no request for continuance from applicant.
Lynne Barbee- She does a lot of driving. It is summer and traffic is almost doubled. People
are going 40mph down Great Neck South where it hits the intersection entrance to New
Seabury. If this development happens, we need a stop sign on Red Brook Road at that
intersection. It will slow the speeding. It is dangerous to pull out of there with cars coming from
all angles. She asked that a very careful study be done for the implementation of a stop sign or
rumble strips.
To be clear, Ms. Waygan would like the project proponent to come up with some traffic calming
solutions for that intersection. She is concerned about the kettle hole with rapid depression,
she does not know if it's a vernal pool, she does not know the water level there. Some species
depend on vernal holes. If it is in the open space, its fine. The stormwater management plan is
to feed into that. If it is a vernal pool, that would destroy the vernal pool. That is something that
she wants addressed by the applicant. It's not in the overlay data saying it is but she would still
like that.
Mr. Lehrer spoke with DPW Director about traffic mitigation, as indicated, it hasn't been critical.
He asked the Chief of Police to look into the data, he will have more information prior to the
next meeting in that regard. Those are easily implemented interventions.
MOTION:
Mr. Balzarini made a motion to continue the Public Hearing for the New Seabury
Homes, LLC Special Permit Cluster Subdivision to July 17th at 7:10PM. Seconded
by Mr. Oakley. All in favor.
MOTION:
Mr. Balzarini made a motion to continue the Public Hearing for the New Seabury
Homes, LLC Definitive Subdivision to July 17t" at 7:15PM. Seconded by Mr.
Oakley. All in favor.
NEW BUSINESS
Review of Request and potential vote to Release Ockway Highlands LLC from Tripartite
Agreement dated March 20, 2019 and recorded at the Barnstable County Registry of
Deeds at Book 31907, Page 171 on March 25, 2019.
5
