16 Great Neck RoadNorth
-Mashpee, -Massachusetts 02649
There was a bill for over $5000, when it went to the Treasurer, the Admin. Assistant went to
get it paid out, but the system flagged the transaction saying there was only $5,000 left. Mr.
Fudala requested more funds to ensure proper payouts going forward.
CHAIRS REPORT
Ms. Waygan met with the Town Manager since the last meeting, about advertising for Planning
Department staff. The Administrative Assistant position is posted on the bulletin board out in
the main hallway. The Board will be moving forward with the HPP, but the Affordable Housing
Committee needs members in order to start meeting again. She suggested it be brought to the
Planning Board for edits and approval then sent to the Select Board.
The LCP is under review by the Cape Cod Commission. They were supposed to provide
comments as of now.
Raze and Replace Bylaw
We need a professional to help us through this bylaw. Ms. Waygan has two thoughts. She can
ask Mr. Collins to see if KP Law can help with a Land Use Attorney. She could also reach out
to the former Town Planner of Dennis to see if he has any interest in helping with the project.
General Board consensus was to reach out to KP Law.
TOWN PLANNER REPORT
Back in 2021 the special permit and subdivision regulations amended the deposit fee to $2,500
but the information was never updated on the website, it still says $5,000.
Ms. Waygan will reach out to Stephanie Coleman in the Town Managers office to see if she
can update the website.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Cape Cod Commission- One Cape was enjoyable and worth attending. There is a
concept of land trust for affordable housing, she is hoping
the host community has the ability to approve the project.
MOTION:
Mr. Balzarini made a motion for the Mashpee Planning Board to provide comment
that the Regional Affordable Land Trust should require project approval of any
activity in the proposed community. Seconded by Ms. Faulkner. All in favor.
Charter Review Committee- Changes to Town Manager, Town Meeting, or Select Board
shall be made via a commission. A Petition or Charter
Review Committee can make minor changes.
Community Preservation
