E.3 <br />Select Board <br />Minutes <br />November 18, 2024 <br />APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br />Presentation of Three -Year Plan U date from the Cape Light Compact: M4g ie Downey <br />In the absence of Maggie Downey, Margaret Song, Evaluation, Strategy and Policy Manager for the Cape Light <br />Compact was in attendance to review energy efficiency highlights for 2024. This includes rebates and incentives to <br />residents and businesses for upgrades as well as energy saver home loan assistance. <br />MassSave, a partner with the Cape Light Compact also maintains a website publishing all program data. Further <br />information can be found at masssavedata.com and by reviewing the capelightcompact.org website. The monthly <br />newsletter can be accessed along with information regarding rebates and programs funded. <br />It was agreed the Town would work with the Cape Light Compact to disseminate information to low- and <br />moderate -income residents. <br />Anroval ofthe Temi oraiy $jjq Permit for Mashpee Fliters Homeless for the Holidays: <br />A Temporary Sign Permit Application was presented to the Select Board for the Annual Mashpee Firefighters, <br />Homeless for the Holidays Charity Fund event scheduled to be held on December 2, 2024 through December 9, <br />2024. One 4x8' freestanding illuminated temporary sign is requested to be placed at the Mashpee Rotary. <br />Motion made by Selectman Cotton to approve the Temporary Sign Permit for the Mashpee Firefighters as <br />presented. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br />VOTE: 4-0. Unanimous. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Cotton, yes <br />Selectman O'Hara, yes Opposed, none <br />Discussion nofResident Corresp9qdence with regards to Cal e Cod i7og Center <br />A large gathering met with the Select Board to offer comment regarding concerns as well as support for the Cape <br />Cod Dog Center, a facility located at 19 Evergreen Avenue, Mashpee. <br />The Select Board began the meeting by asking the residents to be polite during this meeting held for the purpose of <br />listening to concerns and complaints. It was disclosed that this meeting is not a Public Hearing. <br />Cassie Lemire, the owner of a Newfoundland gave an extremely heartfelt overview of the incident that occurred at <br />the subject facility where her dog died in August of 2024 from a gastric illness called bloat. <br />
