To create housing to bolster the <br />local workforce, you are looking at households on the upper spectrum of median income. The <br />state had a program where you could get funding to build a home if you were 65% -120%AMI, <br />these are working people. <br />Ms. Waygan moved on to discuss identifying gray fields, these are developed properties that <br />are vacant or underutilized. <br />Ms. Waygan commented on the first sentence needing to say we are concerned about the <br />water quality problem, balancing protection and improvement of water quality, and other <br />assets. Also, remove the comment about revamping the nitrogen management plan. <br />The Watershed Permit was brought up, have we applied? <br />Ms. Waygan thinks there is an error on page 43, Table 17 and 18. The median sale price in <br />Mashpee is so high compared to what people are earning here. In looking at actual HUD data, <br />it's still the low- and moderate -income households having housing income burdens. A lot of <br />Tribal members have land resources. Just because our median home price is so high, they are <br />assuming people making more than 80%AMI have housing cost burdens. <br />There are plenty of multifamily buildings in Mashpee, Ms. Waygan would like them listed out, <br />Sea Oaks for example. <br />Next time, the Board will resume on page 47, which is where barriers are listed like water, <br />environmentally sensitive areas, lack of buildable land, zoning, stormwater and wastewater <br />infrastructure. That will leave us with existing conditions, which is what the consultant was <br />hired to accomplish. <br />0 <br />
