APPOINTMENT: Robert Fernald - Police Firing Range Mr. Robert Fernald was in attendance for this scheduled appointment. Mr. Fernald relayed, "I am present this evening to com- plain about the constant noise coming from the firing range. " ' "My wife has muscle problems and requires additional sleep during the day which she now finds impossible to do. " "Our family never received a notice that a firing range was pro- posed for the area." Mr. Greelish informed Mr. Fernald, "The existing site was to be temporary until they located a permanent site. " Mr. Fernald questioned whether the area could be en- closed and commented, "I did approach one. of the individuals over there who replied, "We're here firing our guns to pro- tect you. "" Mr. Doherty commented, "This is the first complaint we have received. " Mr. Doherty informed Mr. Fernald, "I will contact the Police Chief to discuss the matter and follow that up with a letter to you regarding the outcome. Mr. Fernald relayed, "I will prepare a petition for the neighborhood residents to sign," APPOINTMENT: Steven R. Ball - 53 Amy Brown Road Mr. Ball stepped down as a participating Board member and approached Board members stating, "On my father's behalf I am requesting the Board's consideration in granting a 25' local variance between the on-site proposed well and the on-site cesspool and a waiver for the installation of well until the foundation is completed due to its close proximity to the proposed well location. " Mr. Doherty questioned Mr. Ball as to whether he is willing to proceed at his own risk with the understanding that if the water is not potable an occupancy permit will not be issued. Mr. Ball responded, "Yes. " "I am in the process of con- tacting abutters regarding public water hookup for the area. "
