MINUTES September 22, 1994 S BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. Miller commented, "We could move the house towards the lot line." <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated, "In speaking with the Building Inspector there are other <br /> alternatives than requiring the 4' frost wall." "The other problem is the dwelling abutting <br /> this property is only 92' from the flow diffuser's." <br /> Mr. Doherty stated, "I would like an agent of this Board to verify the <br /> disconnection of the cottage and connection to town water." "I would also request the <br /> builder provide a copy of the building plans and to discuss with the Building Inspector as <br /> to whether he has an alternative approveable method of supporting the slab foundation for <br /> the garage." "If there is an alternative method plans must be revised." <br /> Mr. Cram motioned to continue this matter pending the above information as <br /> requested by Mr. Doherty, Mr. Doherty seconded. <br /> 9.) Emergency failure certifications - 46 Gia Lane, 149 Waterway, 32_Little Neck <br /> Lane and 12 Sachem Road <br /> 46 GIA LANE - Board members forwarded their signatures to the "Emergency Repair <br /> Certification" form. <br /> 32 LITTLE NECK LANE - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "The owners have been through the <br /> Building Dept. and the Conservation Commission for the addition of a small garage." <br /> "The lots are extremely small." "Where the septic system is, the slab on the garage would <br /> go over half of the tank and just barely clear the leach pit." "I recommended a man-hole <br /> at slab on the garage to access the tank.." "The engineer then informed me the leach pit <br /> has no stone around it." "I recommended he retain an installer to put stone in." "The <br /> installer then contacted me and relayed the pit was in failure." "I informed the builder this <br /> is an emergency situation however, due to the close proximity of the wetlands engineered <br /> plans would be required and they must return to the Conservation Commission for an <br /> amended "Order of Conditions"." <br /> Board members forwarded their signatures to the "Emergency Repair <br /> Certification" form. <br /> 12 SACHEM ROAD - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "The Board certified the system in failure <br /> September 1, 1994."
