MINUTES October 13, 1994 10 BOARD OF HEALTH
Mr. Marsters commented, "That was an honest mistake on our part." .
Mr. McQuaid commented, `Boo-boos are boo-boos but someone sometimes has
to pay for boo-boos." "This is a plan that I approved and all of a sudden I get that and
that's what the Board objected to last week."
Mr. Marsters stated, "When you make a mistake it doesn't mean - there's plenty of
people that submit plans and take them off again." "It's an honest mistake." "It's not a
deceiving mistake it's an extremely honest mistake."
Mr. Cram commented, "I happen to live on a corner lot." "Nothing I would like
better then to be able to have gas." "I have neighbors on both sides of me that have gas, I
don't, I have to pay to have them bring it across the road to my house."
Mr. Marsters stated, "Understandably so."
Mr. Cram commented, "Like the old saying, let the buyer beware." "I didn't know
this when I bought so now I have to live with it."
Mr. Marsters stated, "Gas and water are two different things."
Mr. Cram stated, "There is a hypothetical difference." "In regards to a utility,
water is dictated to, gas is an option."
Mr. Ball stated, "He is not asking for any variances." "I don't think we have the
right to make him hook-up."
Mr. Doherty stated, "We have the right."
Mr. Ball stated, "What are we working for the Water District now?"
Mr. Doherty stated, "I am confident that we have the right because in the interest
of public health the Water District water is indisputably better then private well water."
"You have water during power failures so you can flush." "There's a big benefit there."
Mr. Marsters stated, "1'm not arguing that point." "I'm arguing the point of
availability." "I guess I'm in here to question the availability issue." "I'm definitely not
anti town water but I am also trying to make living."
Mr. Cram stated, "If water goes by in front of your particular property you are
supposed to hook-up to it."
