"You must have considered this at one point where you bought <br /> the property two years ago?" <br /> Mr. Marsters responded, "No." <br /> Mr. Doherty questioned, "Did you assume it was in the ground?" <br /> Mr. Marsters responded, "Absolutely, that is why that plan there." <br /> Mr. Doherty stated, "Shame on you." <br /> Mr. Marsters stated, "Not really, I mean we did what we had to do there is no <br /> question about it." <br /> Mr. Ball questioned, "Do you think it would cost $5000.00 to bring that line <br /> down?" "I know when I asked the Water District to come up Surf Drive it was $40.00 a <br /> foot." <br /> Mr. Evans stated, "That is for a main." <br /> Mr. Ball stated, "If they were going to bring something down there, there not <br /> going to just bring a service line because of the other people hooking in." <br /> Mr. Marsters questioned, "If we did that I could stop town water right here." <br /> Mr. Ball responded, "Right here." "These people can hook in, they don't have to <br /> pay the $40.00 a foot." "They don't have to pay you for putting that in." <br /> Mr. Marsters commented, "They don't have to pay a betterment either." "That is <br /> not very fair." <br /> Mr. Ball stated, "If that's two hundred feet at $40.00 that is $8,000.00." "I think <br /> that does constitute hardship, if that is 200 feet." <br /> Mr. Marsters stated, "It is unfairness." "I could be hardship also." <br /> Mr. Ball stated, "It is an unexpected cost and expense to the builder." <br /> Mr. Marsters stated, "I have no problem with being fair and paying my fare."
