MINUTES October 13, 1994 14 BOARD OF HEATLH
Mr. Ball stated, "It doesn't matter."
Mr. Marsters stated, "Here again I'm not arguing town water vs. well water." "I
am all for town water, it is a wonderful thing." "I wish I could have it in my house but
nobody in my neighborhood wants it."
Mr. McQuaid commented, "The only thing you are arguing is finances."
Mr. Marsters responded, "No, no, yes, yes and availability and fair play."
"Availability I am arguing also."
Mr. Cram questioned Mr. Marsters, "Don't you really feel as though you can
present this to somebody as far as a saleable piece of property if you have town water."
Mr. Marsters responded, "If I could I wouldn't ......"
Mr_ Doherty stated, "I agree with Bob, let the buyer beware, you have bought its
problems too_" "Accessibility issue is the one I will consider."
Mr. Marsters stated, "Accessibility, yes I didn't feel like I bought accessibility."
Mr. Doherty stated, "Steve had mentioned that you're not requesting any
variances, you meet all the town regulations." "You have to know that if the water tests
come back bad forget it." "I still have mixed feelings about it."
Mr_ Ball stated, "It's funny I don't because for the simple reason that if we make
him do it we're going to go down to the homeowner so....." "A good example is where
I'm building." "Town water goes by Monomoscoy but Amy Brown Road is a private
road so if we go by this regulation to make him put it in now I have to have town water
come up that road for me."
Mr. McQuaid stated, "There maybe unfortunately, maybe a bias in dealing with a
developer vs. a private homeowner."
Mr. Ball stated, "Well, maybe it is a bias."
Mr. McQuaid commented, "He's got all these lots yet to be developed." "He can
split the costs of bringing the water to these two amongst what he has left to be
developed."
