MINUTES April 27, 1995 8 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. Cram motioned to grant the perc extension as requested with new expiration <br /> date of December 29, 1995, Mr. Doherty seconded. <br /> 22 Shorewood Drive - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "The lot was perked in August of 199W' <br /> "I would recommend in this instance where the perc is 4 1/2 years old the Board require a <br /> new percolation test." <br /> Mr. Cram motioned to deny the request for a perc extension, Mr. Doherty <br /> seconded. <br /> Mr. Pal Patnaude, lot owner, was in attendance. <br /> Mr. Patnaude stated, "We felt that it is quite an expensive ordeal to go through." <br /> "It is all sand." "We opened the hole, which is fine, clean, sand, through buckets into the <br /> hole and it disappeared immediately." "We're going to go through this again with that <br /> expense and it is going to be exactly the same result." "Five years ago when I did that, I <br /> intended to build within that time period however, in the meantime I went through a <br /> divorce." "I was unable to acquire the property until recently as it was in litigation." "I <br /> am requesting the Board grant the extension as the results will be the same." <br /> Mr. Doherty stated, "We do not have a plan which indicates where the test pit was <br /> located." "Again, we have not idea where the test pit was located." "The Board will <br /> stand by its vote." <br /> 95 Harking Circle - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "The lot was perked in March of 1994." <br /> "The owner is requesting a 6 month perc extension." <br /> Mr. Cram motioned to grant a six month perc extension from date of expiration, <br /> Mr. Doherty seconded. <br /> *****NEW BUSINESS***** <br /> Septic System Evaluations <br /> Mr. Evans relayed, "We have received two reports done on septic systems." <br /> "One found the septic tank to be 1/2 full of water." "Now the water has leaked out <br /> through the seam separating the halves." "The question is whether or not the systems are <br /> in failure." "After speaking with a few septic tank companies, one was of the opinion the <br /> leak would deem the system in failure the other company did not." <br />
