MINUTES August 10, 1995 10 BOARD OF HEALTH.
Mr. Doherty informed Mr. Pina, "Mr. Perry was in earlier." "He had a dispute
with the Board's evaluation on the inspection." "These was nothing to be decided, the
report stands as submitted." "He informed us as of 8:30 p.m, this evening the system was
being corrected_" "The plumber was unable to successfully install the purnp?"
Mr. Pina responded, "It wasn't a plumber it was one of their employees."
Mr. Cram questioned, "What do you have as far as a system to heat hot water in
the house."
Mr. Pina responded, "It is gas."
Mr. Pina stated, "In the in-law apartment it is electric heat."
Ms. Pina stated, "Mr. Perry is not the landlord." `'His father-in-law, William
Lopez is the owner." "We are on Mashpee Housing and he is not listed as an agent."
"The reason I contacted Mr. Evans was because I called Comm. Electric because they
have two different tenants occupying two different dwellings." "They have one tenant in
the in-law apartment and they have us in the main house." "We have been sharing the
electric with the other tenant because there is only one meter." "We didn't know this
when we went into the lease with them until we got our first month's electric." "We
called them and they went through all our appliances and I wanted to have an audit done."
"They told me well, it's the new apartment that's on the same meter." "Now, we're
getting ready to move out and have three months of the other tenants back bills." "They
moved out about 1 1/2 weeks ago."
Mr. Doherty questioned, "At any time did you come to some kind of an agreement
with these people as to how the electric bill was to be split up."
Ms. Pina responded, "It was a verbal and written agreement." "I had Comm.
Electric send me the kilowatts on an average and between Comm. Electric and me we
figured out what the bills would be."
Mr. Cram questioned, "Do you have anything in writing with the Landlord in
regards to this being split?"
Ms. Pina responded, "No."
Mr. Doherty stated, "Regulations regarding co-mingling of an electrical supply is
not allowed."
