Louise asked if it is in the groundwater protection district
because lot coverage criteria is different . Mr Warwick
stated that it is.
Under sec . llb.5 of the groundwater protection district ,
there would be 52, 200 total sq. footage permitted including
parking, paving and buildings .
Tony stated that there is a substantial difference in what
is proposed in the by laws and what is presented and the
Board doesn' t know if a continuation is way to go.
Mr. Warwick stated that this is based on an assumption that
is not correct, and under the circumstances they would like
to continue the hearing, to give them time to make
adjustments .
The Board must make a decision within 65 days of filing .
They can grant an extension but under the circumstances the
Board must discuss if they wish to grant the extension.
Mr Kerrigan stated that they had shown Tom (the town
planner) the plans and he had reviewed them at length, both
the use and layout of lots. His interpretation was that it
could be used for this purpose.
Tony stated that at this point it is not a use question.
The project was designed on lot areas which appear not to be
available for design of project .
The Board believes that the most appropriate thing to do
is to work it out and re -submit the plans . They do not
want to extend past 65 day limit (Jan Sth) .
Mr . Kerrigan said he does not want to do that (re submit): ,
he wants to speak to his attorney. His attorney' s opinion
id that it could be calculated the way it was .
Public Comment:
An individual present said it was his opinion that a
warehouse use belongs in an industrial park, this is a nicer
residential neighborhood. It will create much more traffic ,
especially in the summer.
Helen Abizzio, 4 South Sandwich Road feels the traffic
problem would be very serious , there are a lot of children
in the neighborhood, they often walk to the store near
there .
Mr . Abizzio said he did a lot of landscaping on the South
Sandwich Rd. corner and he feels this will be such an ugly
place going up and the Board should take that into
consideration.
Mr. Dolan, Juniper Drive is an abutter asked if it is a mini
warehousing or 24 hour per day operation?
