MINUTES July 16, 1998 5 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> 5.) Aunt Janes Road well septic layouts - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "This is preliminary." <br /> "Approximately three years ago the engineering firm of Levy, Eldridge and Wagner <br /> submitted plans for these lots that are parallel to Uncle Edwards Road.". "The plans didn't <br /> indicate the well locations." "Mr. Grotske requested an extension which the Board agreed <br /> to." "Mr. Grotske now has the engineering firm of BSS Design locating abutting wells." <br /> "There are several lots that have problems." "One lot in particular that is currently <br /> occupied has a well and the owner of that property is refusing to let the engineering firm <br /> locate the well." "I did recommend to Mr. Grotske that he request a representative from <br /> BSS Design attend an upcoming meeting to address the situation." "Mr. Grotske did <br /> question whether the Board of Health has the authority to let a surveyor onto private <br /> property." "I did inform him that we do not have that authority." <br /> Acknowledged. <br /> 6.) Quashnet Valley subdivision modification - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "This <br /> modification does not have much to do with the Board of Health, it's more of a <br /> technicality." <br /> Mr. Ball motioned to approve the modifications to the Quashnet Valley <br /> subdivision, Mr. Doherty seconded, all agreed. <br /> 7.) John Drew subdivision - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "The owner is taking one parcel <br /> of land between Route 28 and Great Neck Road and dividing them into two parcels." <br /> Mr. Ball motioned to approve the subdivision plan submitted by John Drew, Mr. <br /> Doherty seconded, all agreed. <br /> 8_) Revised plans 89 Meadowbrook Road - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "We originally <br /> received plans for this parcel which I approved on March 17, 1998." "The applicant had to <br /> go before to Conservation Commission because it lies within the flood zone." "Originally, <br /> the leaching facility was 150' from the proposed well." "Now Conservation has told them <br /> to move the well as far away from the flood zone as possible." "This is the first time the <br /> Conservation Commission has requested the Board of Health have the engineer redesign <br /> plans making the distance between the proposed well and proposed leaching facility less <br /> than the original design of 150'." <br /> Mr. Doherty motioned to deny the variance request, Mr. Ball seconded, all agreed. <br />
