i <br /> M]N UTES July 23, 1998 11 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> *****NEW BUSINESS***** <br /> Variance request - 131 Meetinghouse Road <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "The applicant is requesting a 5' sideline variance." <br /> Mr. Ball motioned to grant a 5' sideline variance, Mr. Doherty seconded, all <br /> agreed. <br /> Emergency Failure Certification's 9 Spoondrift Circle and 124 Sunset Strip <br /> 9 Spoondrift Circle - Mr. McQuaid stated, "I inspected the site and found both <br /> cesspools full." "A new Title V system will be installed." <br /> Board members forwarded their signature's to the "Emergency Failure <br /> Certification"form. <br /> 124 Sunset Strip - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "The Board approved plans on May 2, 1995." <br /> "The septic permit was issued to William Dinger however, the property owner, Mr. Daley, <br /> is looking for occupancy." "We do not have the "As Built" cards from either the installer <br /> or engineer." "I verified with the Water District whether they were connected to town <br /> water and I was told that they were but it was disconnected because the checks bounced." <br /> "The building department has other significant problems with issuing the occupancy <br /> permit." "I wanted to make the Board aware of this now as this matter may go into <br /> litigation." <br /> Acknowledged. <br /> 9 Chart Way <br /> Mr. Robert Bortolotti, representing Bortolotti Construction, was in attendance_ <br /> Mr. Bortolotti stated, "The owner is proposing an addition to the existing <br /> dwelling." `Based on the proposed addition it was made clear the location of the existing <br /> leaching facility is very close to the wetlands." "Proposed plans are to install a F.A.S.T. <br /> denitrification unit." "The reason the denitrification unit was proposed is because they <br /> wanted a 50%reduction in the leaching capacity." "The owner is declaring a hardship and <br /> would like to come to a more feasible compromise." "The owner's have heard very <br /> negative things about the F.A.S.T. system."
