i <br /> MINUTES September 10, 1998 6 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> *****NEW BUSINESS****** <br /> 24 South Sandwich Road <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "The applicant is requesting a 14.5' local variance from the <br /> on-site proposed leaching facility to the proposed on-site well, a 12' local variance from <br /> the proposed leaching facility to abutting well (lot 30) and a 47' local variance from the <br /> proposed on-site well to the abutting leaching facility (lot 30)." "This is not a pre- <br /> approved subdivision." <br /> Mr. Ball motioned to grant the variances as stated by Mr. McQuaid, Mr. Doherty <br /> seconded, all agreed. <br /> 26 Russell Road <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "Originally, the applicant had proposed building a garage <br /> with a one bedroom in-law apartment above." "I allowed the engineer to relocate the <br /> tank." "Now, they had to go before the Conservation Commission because they are in the <br /> flood zone." "The engineer is proposing to move the original location of the leaching field <br /> outside the 100' are which is totally within the property line." <br /> Acknowledged. <br /> *****OLD BUSINESS***** <br /> 1 Santuit Lane <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "Ms. Lerman has submitted a letter requesting the Board's <br /> opinion as to whether they would look favorably towards variance relief if she were to <br /> install a denitrification unit." <br /> Mr. Ball commented, "I would be inclined to vote favorably if Ms. Lerman were to <br /> install a denitrification unit." <br /> Mr. Doherty agreed. <br /> Mr_ McQuaid stated, "The engineer will be required to submit revised plans <br /> including a denitrification unit and as we have a complaint from an abutter all abutter's <br /> will have to be notified." <br />
