Representative: Linda Cronin

The proposal is to install two drainage systems to address flooding:
Northwest Drainage System: Twelve high-capacity, H-20 rated infiltrators with one
foot of stone will be installed, utilizing the existing catch basin. Regrading will be
necessary to redirect runoff.
Northeast Drainage System: This requires raising the roadway by 8 to 14 inches.
During this process, a pipe and stone system will be installed, utilizing the existing catch
basin. Additional storage will be created under the roadway.
The property is 166 feet from the edge of the dune resource area but entirely within the
AE elevation 12 flood zone.
COMMISSIONERS COMMENTS

The following is a summary of the questions asked, response, and additional commentary.

Concerns:
o Floodplain Fill: Uncertainty about whether zoning Article 2's floodplain fill
restrictions apply to roadways.
o Drainage System Function: Concern about the Northeast drainage system's
performance during high groundwater.
o Erosion Mitigation: Need for clarification on erosion control measures,
particularly given the proposed roadway elevation increase.
o Floodplain Impact: Commissioners expressed concern about bringing fill into
the floodplain.
o Speed Bump: Clarification that the proposed speed bump is new, not existing.
Additional Information:
o Approximately 4.2 cubic yards of fill is proposed.
o Communication with the Health Agent is necessary due to leach field setback
requirements.
o No ZBA commentary is required for the project.

PUBLIC COMMENTS

There were no public comments.

AGENT COMMENTS

16
