MEMORANDUM <br /> To: Mashpee Board of Selectmen <br /> From: Joyce M. Mason., Town Manager <br /> Date: January 4, 2007 <br /> Re: South Mashpee Fire Substation Owner's Project Manager <br /> Dear Members, <br /> On Friday, December 15, 2006, the Owner's Project Manager Selection Committee met with <br /> representatives of three prospective firms that had submitted proposals for the South Mashpee Fire <br /> Substation Owner's Project Manager. <br /> The three firms were Porriroy Associates of South Easton, MA; Lincoln Consultants of Lincoln, MA; and <br /> Ernie Virgilio of Mashpee, MA. <br /> In an effort to provide a clearly documented record of this qualifications-based selection process and as <br /> support for the committee's actions, a standard evaluation form, developed by the American Council of <br /> Engineering Companies of Massachusetts (ACEC/MA),'was used to evaluate, rank and, and ultimately <br /> select a compatible and qualified firm. Copies of the ACEC/MA.forms used in this process are attached <br /> hereto. <br /> The following were used as the evaluation criteria(in some cases, item#9 was not used): <br /> 1) Grasp of Project Requirements (Owner may evaluate finin's analysis, preparation and, and level, of <br /> interest.) <br /> 2) Design Approach/Methodology (Owner may evaluate firm or individual's creativity and problem <br /> solving ability.) <br /> 3) Key Personnel and Roles (Owner may evaluate personal qualifications and professional skills of � <br /> key individuals.) <br /> I <br /> 4) Pertinent Experience, Firm (Owner may evaluate related projects presented as previous work of <br /> the firm.) <br /> 5) Pertinent Experience, Individual (Owner may evaluate related projects presented as previous.work <br /> by the key personnel.) <br /> 6) Consultant/In-House Resources (Owner may evaluate firm's abilities and importance of consultant <br /> or in-house support services.) <br /> 7) Technical Project Management (Owner may evaluate firm's abilities related to technical functions <br /> such as project cost controls, construction observation,time scheduled, etc.) <br /> 8) Responsiveness to Owner's Concerns (Owner may evaluate firm's ability to form successful <br /> working relationships and communications with the owner.) <br />
