4 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> September 11, 2006 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Proclamation—United Nations Day: <br /> A Proclamation for the United Nations October anniversary was presented <br /> to the Selectmen for approval. One of the principal mandates is"to <br /> achieve international cooperation in solving problems of an economic, <br /> social,cultural,or humanitarian character": The United Nations was <br /> founded in 1945. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Myers to accept the Proclamation to <br /> designate October 24,2006 as United Nations Day in the Town of <br /> Mashpee. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cook. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Approval of Bond Sale: <br /> The Board of Selectmen reviewed the matter relative to General <br /> • Obligation Bonds,to be issued by the Town. It was decided the Bonds <br /> should be sold to Eastern Bank. A lengthy motion was reviewed and acted <br /> upon by the Board of Selectmen for action to betaken by the Treasurer for <br /> the issuance, sale and delivery of the General Obligation Bonds. <br /> (enclosed) <br /> Motion made by Selectman Green to approve the motion detailing the <br /> issuance,sale and delivery of General Obligation Bonds as,described <br /> to Eastern Bank on this date September 11,2006. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> I <br />
