Board of Selectmen Minutes <br /> March 12,2001 <br /> Page Four. <br /> CIP Discussion: (continued) <br /> review these projects and assign priorities to assist them in sequencing the various <br /> projects. The Selectmen reviewed the requests as follows: <br /> Conservation-$22,000 for a new vehicle.—approve <br /> Harbormaster-$33,000 for ramp boat docks. <br /> Perry Ellis was present at the meeting and explained to Selectman that they are requesting <br /> money for 3 docks, one at each of the Town's boat ramps to assist boaters to better utilize <br /> water in a safer and easier circumstance. Money would be coming out of the Waterways <br /> Improvement Account so it is a transfer not a raise and appropriate. <br /> Selectmen approved the request for 3 ramp boat docks. <br /> Selectman Marsters left the meeting at 6:00 p.m. <br /> Fire Department—2 EKG Monitors for ambulance at$30,000 and replacement of water <br /> supply hose at$25,200, <br /> Leisure Services-two projects,a 4 wheel drive pickup truck for$22,000 and tennis court <br /> repair for$40,000. <br /> The tennis courts cannot be repaired,they need to be ripped out and the cost will be <br /> somewhere between$90-100,000. Leisure Services is recommending removing the item <br /> and address next year. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to remove the$40,000 tennis court line item from <br /> Leisure Services. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0 <br /> Police Department—6 items-Lease of 8 police vehicles(2 yr)at$111,111;Lease of 2 <br /> police vehicles(4yr)at$12,900;Dispatcher Center Recorder Lease at$8,789;Replace <br /> heatpunips at$15,000;Lease Animal Control Van(2yr)at$11,500; 8 vehicle portico at <br /> $27,000, <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to remove the$27,000 8-vehicle portico item <br /> from the Police Department. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0 <br /> Library—appropriate funds in 2002 for architectural work at$300,000 and then move to <br /> 2003 for funding of library expansion and possibly receive a state grant for that. <br /> Selectman Cahalanne pointed out that the article is asking for$430,000 rather than <br /> $300,000. The Town Aduniiustrator explained that is the figure they had at the time. <br /> R <br />
