4 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 23, 2001 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Bargmann Hendrie& Archetype: (continued) <br /> The phasing scenario of the preliminary draft proposed the following; <br /> Phase I: Senior Center— 14,500 sq ft proposed gross <br /> Administration/Education/Health/Social <br /> Dining/Miscellaneous <br /> Leisure Services - 18,500 sq ft proposed gross <br /> Pre-School/Day Care <br /> p Administration/Community Rooms <br /> Youth Game Room/Pre-School/After-School <br /> Site Work— 12 acres <br /> Phase II: Ice Rink—27,300 sq ft proposed gross <br /> Phase III: Aquatic Center—28,800 sq ft proposed gross <br /> Phase IV: Field House—73,000 sq ft proposed gross <br /> Discussion followed with respect to the intended phasing sequence <br /> as proposed. The Board directed the architect to further delineate <br /> Phase I to include the senior center only, and consider design and <br /> cost estimates. Additional information for further review at the <br /> next scheduled meeting will include comparative staffing data and <br /> information relative to the pre-school and after-school programs. <br /> The Board also recommended the architect present this information <br /> to the School Committee. <br /> Important capital building projects under review by the Selectmen <br /> include the Library, Fire Department sub-station and the <br /> Department of Public Works storage garage. <br /> The Selectmen agreed to prioritize the intended building projects <br /> as set forth in the Capital Improvement program and further review <br /> long and short-term debt of the Town at the next scheduled <br /> meeting. <br />
