6 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> October 15, 2001 + <br /> f <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Ballot Initiative—Chapter 40B: <br /> Correspondence was received from Peter Confrey, a Selectman from <br /> The Town of Mendon and a sponsor of a statewide ballot initiative which <br /> would make changes to MGL Chapter 40B, the Massachusetts <br /> Comprehensive Permit Law. Mr. Confrey is gathering signatures for the <br /> petition. <br /> The above referenced agenda topic was deferred for further review and <br /> clarification. <br /> Request for Insert Approval-Town Clerk: <br /> The 2002 Dog. License Renewal Flyer was presented to the Board for <br /> approval in the upcoming annual mailing. The Town Clerk, in her <br /> memorandum to the Selectmen dated October 9, 2001 requested approval <br /> from this day forth until further notice. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the Dog License <br /> Renewal Flyer for a term of(3)years. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Nancy Hood—Monomoscoy Petition: <br /> Nancy Hood, a resident of Monomoscoy Road and long time property <br /> owner discussed her concern for the future of the island. Ms. Hood <br /> presented a petition to the Selectmen comprised of 90 signatures <br /> in request that the environment be protected from the development of <br /> unsuitable lots. <br /> The petition was taken under advisement at this time. <br />
