y <br /> 7 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> October 15, 2001 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Comment: <br /> Ron Bevacqua, Mashpee resident and Police Sergeant read aloud <br /> a memorandum of concern relative to the manner in which the <br /> new Police Lieutenant Positions have been handled. Mr. Bevacqua <br /> urged the Board to defer the promotions until the Sergeant's process <br /> has been completed and until the Town allows the Unions to discuss <br /> the promotional process further. <br /> In other business, Mrs. Etheleen Antunes related concern with respect <br /> to the proposed increase in the cost of disposal stickers. It was noted <br /> that the matter would appear as a future agenda topic of discussion. <br /> The Transfer Station, policy, procedures and fees are presently under <br /> review. <br /> Michael Forde: <br /> Michael Forde publicly expressed appreciation to the Class of <br /> 2006 and for those who contributed and donated time to enhance <br /> Y <br /> and beautify the recently installed bike path. The bike path was planted <br /> as a living memorial for the victims of the recent tragedy. A dedication <br /> ceremony is forthcoming. <br /> Public Hearin�Liquor License Transfer: <br /> 4 <br /> Selectman Leveille stepped down for the above referenced hearing. <br /> Selectman Cahalane opened the Public Hearing on the application of <br /> Fidde Corporation d/b/a The Boathouse, Edmund RichardL Manager, <br /> for a transfer of All Alcohol Restaurant License from DCMD, Inc., <br /> d/b/a Carbo's Grille&Bar. <br /> Joyce Mason, Acting Town Administrator read aloud the Public Hearing <br /> notice as published. Mr. Richardi and Mr. Carboneau were present to <br /> discuss the license transfer request with the Board of Selectmen. <br /> It was noted that all necessary paperwork is in order for the Board's <br /> approval. Being no comment,the Board motioned to close the Public <br /> Hearing. <br />
