Relief is available for most citizens over the age of sixty-five. A
tax deferral, tax exemption option can be discussed confidentially with the
Town Assessor.
COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE:
Hi h School—Yearbo k Advertising:
Correspondence was received from Sheila Arnold, the Mashpee
High School Yearbook Advisor dated September 25, 2001 inviting
the Board of Selectmen to place an advertisement in the 2002 yearbook.
T The matter was taken under advisement at this time.
1
Barnstable County Commissioners—Co=Funds Available:
The Barnstable County Commissioners and Assembly of Delegates in
their memorandum of October 1,2001 to the Selectmen announced the
availability of additional County funds. The Town of Mashpee would
receive the sum of$30,140.40 in surplus funds to support direct county
services or regional projects. In the past, dredging has been noted to be
the most convenient method for utilizing the funding.
A memorandum will be remitted to all Department Heads regarding their
proposed intention for funding disbursement. The issue will appear as a
future agenda topic of the Board of Selectmen for appropriation. As with
previous programs, the Town must inform the County Commissioners
regarding the use of the surplus funds.
