7 <br /> r <br /> 3 <br /> t Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> October 15, 2001 <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Department of Environmental Management—Land Acquisition <br /> Announcement: <br /> As per the memorandum of September 19, 2001 the Department of <br /> Environmental Management is considering acquisition of approximately <br /> 15,681 square feet of land in Mashpee. The property is currently being <br /> used as an undeveloped house lot, and was used in the past as an ancient <br /> burial ground. The property would become associated with the South <br /> Cape Beach State Reservation(Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research <br /> Reserve). <br /> The Board of Selectmen has been requested to shorten the 120 day <br /> notice period(as allowed under regulations) so that the Commonwealth, <br /> should it decide to proceed, may complete the transaction prior to the end <br /> of the calendar year. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the 120 Day Notice <br /> Period as referenced. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Marsters absent for vote. <br /> Barnstable County Selectmen's Association Meeting: <br /> Friday, November 9, 2001 <br /> 8:00 a.m. —Hearth&Kettle Restaurant <br /> Hyannis, MA <br /> Recess: 6:20 p.m. Meeting Reconvened: 6:24 p.m. <br /> Selectman Marsters present <br />
