6 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 20, 2000 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> School Budget Review—Finance Committee Budget Review: <br /> Coombs School Air Handlers: <br /> The Board of Selectmen requested the Finance Committee consider <br /> an immediate reserve fund transfer for the replacement of rooftop air units <br /> at the Kenneth C. Coombs School that are not functioning as intended. <br /> It was noted that funding may be recaptured at a later date through the <br /> process of legal action and returned to the Town's general fund. <br /> The School Department has received a number of complaints about <br /> this condition. The units have no minimum discharge air setting. The <br /> estimated cost to replace four rooftop units is $20,450. <br /> The Finance Committee agreed to review this matter at their next <br /> scheduled meeting. Mr. McGown will attend the meeting on behalf of the <br /> School Department. <br /> Recess: 8:10 p.m. Meeting Resumed: 8:20 p.m. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Transfer Station Contract Discussion. <br /> Board of Health member,Robert Cram was present to discuss the <br /> memorandum of March 10, 2000 relative to the issue of a change order <br /> request for the Transfer Station operation contract. <br /> Mr. Whritenour distributed information from Elias McQuaid,Board of <br /> Health Agent to the Selectmen relative to actual tonnage, deliveries, and <br /> detailed material relative to this matter. <br /> The Selectmen agreed to schedule a workshop session this week with <br /> Mr. Cram, the Board of Health Agent, Director of Public Works, and <br /> Roger Alcott, Senior Engineer of Weston & Sampson, Inc. <br />
