Committee Minutes September 16 , 1991 Page 4 . contract between the town and the Mashpee Fire/Rescue Department for 7/1 /90 through 6/30/92 will be discussed at the Finance Committee meeting of October 1st . The Finance Committee will hold their recommendation to see if there is a settlement of this contract . Deirdre motioned that the Finance Committee approve the transfer of $1 , 378 . 41 to pay previous fiscal year unpaid bills . Al seconded the motion and there was a unanimous vote to recommend the article . The article to vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds the sum of $975 to the Planning Department Salary and Wage Account was discussed by the Committee in length prior to making a recommendation. The Town Planner is seeking. $975 in addition to the $1 , 700 he is giving up from his salary to restore the department secretary to full-time , 37 1 /2 hours . Tony expressed his concern that this would set a precedent and would impact the FY93 budget . Deirdre expressed her concern that the work was just not getting done . She further emphasized that - the individual currently in this position has a great deal of experience and is very capable . Jim noted that other articles for upgrades had been removed from the warrant and questioned if this one should even be on the warrant . He further added that even if the Committee did not recommend this article the $1 ,700 that the Town Planner was relinquishing from his salary would still be available to increase the secretary' s hours , however not to full--time . Al cautioned that it was important to recognize that . this is a two-person department , and it is crucial to consider this . Tony motioned that this article not be recommended by the Committee and Denise seconded the motion. The Finance Committee voted not to recommend with one opposing vote cast by Al Polsi. Tony Gallo motioned that the Finance Committee recommend the article to raise and appropriate and/or transfer $2,081 .08 from the Planning Department G1S Account to the Planning Department Unpaid Bills Account . . John seconded the motion and the Committee voted to unanimously recommend. Deirdre motioned that the Finance Committee recommend the article that seeks Town Meeting approval to authorize the Board of Selectmen to convey a parcel of tax title land for the consideration of $1 .00 to Domenic F. Rantuccio and Albert C. Riddick. John seconded the motion and members voted to unanimously recommend .
