Denise Sullivan asked
whether the figure that Ms. Greelish had of 1.6 million and the
requested figure of 2.1 million, isn't there some happy medium?
Mr. Dinizio responded that it is the Selectmen's job to create the
exact amount requested to the town. Mr. Baker asked whether the
article is set up so that the town will have temporary bonding
until there is an exact figure? Mr. Dinizio stated that according
to Anne Shaw, she estimates six month construction so that it would
be $39,000 in temporary bonding. Carl McDonald had a copy of the
article in question. Mr. Gallo read the article to the members.
it did not contain a money amount. Mr. Gallo stated that he would review these questions
with Mr. Harrington and get back to the committee on Wednesday,
March 11, 1992. Mr. Gallo also stated that Mr. Harrington would
like to take $21,000 out of Data Processing for funding of a new
full time position, a computer specialist responsbile for all the
computers the town hall has. Mr. Gallo stated that Mr.
Harrington did not think that there is anyone at town hall to
operate the software at its full capacity. Mr. Gallo also stated
that according to Mr. Harrington we should be able to utilize the
computer for payroll purposes. Mr. Gallo felt that there is some
overlapping with the three departments. Mr. Gallo also stated
that is why Mr. Harrington cut the budget for data processig from
$61,000 to $40,000. Mr. Polsi asked Mr. Gallo what the selectmen's
projection is for the next year for legal, engineering? Mr. Gallo
stated that they requested $150,000.
