3 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 15, 2000 <br /> Public Comment: (continued) <br /> In other business,Mike Labute stated that he has witnessed the taking of <br /> herring illegally on several occasions. In concern, Bradley Caffyn <br /> requested the Board post the enforcement of such in appropriate areas <br /> before the date of May 20t' when canal fishing tournaments are scheduled. <br /> Mr. Caffyn also offered to serve as a deputy herring warden to assist with <br /> enforcement measures. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to post for the taking of herring <br /> as deemed appropriate on Great Neck Road and Route 130 before the <br /> date of May 20'h as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> DPW Director—Annual Bids: <br /> Greg Taylor, Director of Public Works recommended the Board approve <br /> his FY01 bid recommendations as set forth in the memorandum of <br /> May 10, 2000 addressed to the Selectmen. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the Annual Bids <br /> as recommended by the Director of Public Works in his memorandum <br /> to the Selectmen dated May 10, 2000. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Route 151 Proposal: <br /> Mr. Taylor recommended the Board award the Route 151 Bikeway cost <br /> proposal to BSC for the sum of$39,750. Based upon qualifications in the <br /> request for proposal,BSC was deemed highly advantageous and was the <br /> low bidder for the intended project scope. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to accept the recommendation of <br /> the Director of Public Works, and award the Route 151 Bikeway <br /> project proposal to BSC in the amount of$39,750. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
