9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> September 11, 2000 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Request for Approval of Library Grant Application: <br /> Helene DeFoe, Librarian was present to request the Board approve the <br /> letter of intent and related grant application for funds to support the library <br /> expansion project at its present site location. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve of the letter of intent <br /> and grant application to the Massachusetts Public Library <br /> Construction Program as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Request for One-Day Liquor License—Cape Cod Winery: <br /> Norma Lyons was present to request the Board approve the one-day <br /> request of the Cape Cod Winery, Inc. for sales at the annual Oktoberfest <br /> on Saturday, October 7, 2000 at Mashpee Commons. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to approve the One-Day Liquor <br /> License request of the Cape Cod Winery, 681 Sandwich Road, <br /> Falmouth for wine sales at the annual Oktoberfest as stipulated. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Cape Cod Commission: <br /> Representatives from the Cape Cod Commission were present to discuss <br /> the Lowell Road subdivision project with members of the Board of <br /> Selectmen. Tom Fudala,the Town Planner was in attendance. <br /> Correspondence was received from the Director of Public Works dated <br /> September 11, 2000 recommending that the front entrance be constructed <br /> with funds from the developer and constructed before the sidewalk. It was <br /> noted that the sidewalk might take a great deal of funds due to wetland <br /> issues. <br />
