9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> September 25, 2000 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Waterways Update: (continued) <br /> To date,the Water Quality Project is presently complete. Dr. Howes is <br /> awaiting land-use data to incorporate into the water quality model before <br /> his final submission is made to the town. Mr. Fudala added that the GIS <br /> data, which has been generated, will also be incorporated into the water <br /> use data. Final thresholds for the general public to consider are, how clean <br /> do we want the water to be, and who is going to pay to clean the water to <br /> the desired level? <br /> Mr. Hanks updated the Selectmen on the Mashpee River dredge permit <br /> project. The findings of the sediment analysis were reviewed. Mr. Hanks <br /> recommended the Board move forward to proceed with Step II of the <br /> Woods Hole Group contract and prepare necessary permit applications. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to immediately go forward with <br /> Step H of the Woods Hole Group contract and prepare the permit <br /> applications for the dredging of the Mashpee River as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Extension of Purchase & Sale Agreement—Oakley Parcel: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to place the above topic on the <br /> Selectmen's agenda. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor, <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Tom Fudala recommended the Board extend the purchase and sale <br /> agreement relative to the Oakley parcel for a minimum of(45) days. It <br /> was noted that all sellers are not identified to date. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to extend the Purchase and. <br /> Sale Agreement relative to the Oakley parcel for(45) days with an <br /> option for an additional (45)days if necessary. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
