11 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> October 30, 2000 <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Town Hall Closure: <br /> i <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to place the above as an agenda <br /> topic of the Selectmen. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the closure of Town <br /> Hall on the Friday after Thanksgiving. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> It was noted that the closure would effect Town Hall employees, the <br /> DPW, Library and Council on Aging. The referenced employees have <br /> agreed to work on the Friday before Veteran's Day. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> RAGE Discussion: <br /> A brief discussion followed with respect to the pending RAGE educational <br /> equity suit. Presently, funding has not been identified for the Town to <br /> support this endeavor. <br /> Discussion of Use of Legal Resources: <br /> It was noted that the Board of Selectmen reversed their decision at the last <br /> meeting, and authorized the Chairman of the Board to serve as the single <br /> point of contact for use of and/or to telephone an attorney to seek legal <br /> advice on facilitator/recognition issues. <br /> In addition, a motion was made authorizing the Chairman of the Board of <br /> Selectmen to investigate the representation of Perkins and Cole on Bill <br /> 611 and HR361, and the potential for representation on the BIA process. <br /> i <br />
