Article 7 and 8 were fine. Both the Selectmen and the <br /> Finance Committee were questionable about Article 9. The final <br /> decision was to leave Article 9 as written in this draft and add an <br /> Article to the Warrant for authorization of a bond. Article 10 and <br /> 11 were acceptable. Mr. Whritenour explained that Article 12 was <br /> reduced to $20,000 and this Article was acceptable. Article 13 was <br /> acceptable. it was agreed that Article 14 and 15 be combined. Mr. <br /> Goggin stated that the Fincomm was against Article 16 because it <br /> should be postponed until. May. The selectmen voted 3-1 in favor of <br /> keeping it on the Warrant. Nancy Caffyn opposing: -it was agreed <br /> that Mr. Goggin would work with Mr. Whritenour on this Article <br /> because the Finance Committee was waiting for exact numbers from <br /> the Town Accountant. Ms. Greelish also suggested that the <br /> Executive Secretary examine whether there is a law which states <br /> that the 'Board of Health Agents' salaries need to be directed by <br /> the Board of Health. The Finance Committee is opposed to Article <br /> 18. The Board of Selectmen voted two selectmen in favor and two <br /> opposed. Mr. Vaccaro stated that the Article would remain on the <br /> Warrant until Selectman Costa could place his vote. Everyone <br /> agreed that Article 19 would remain. <br /> Mr. Goggin stated that the FinCorW would like to see three bids for <br /> Article 20. Ben Gordon was present at the meeting to explain the <br /> feelings of - the Waterways Commission. He felt the motor on the <br /> boat was still in working order and should not be replaced until <br /> necessary. Mr. Gordon also explained that he would like the Board <br /> of Selectmen to make the Waterway's Funds accessible, in case of an <br /> emergency or need to purchase a new motor. Ms. Rommelmeyer <br /> explained that if the money is to be ear marked then it needs to be <br /> approved at town meeting.. <br />
