There is no benefits because it <br /> is less than 20 hours. Mr. Goggin stated that instead of reading <br /> less than 20 hours per week, it-shoo=ld-read-1 es s-tha n"`1;0-0-0-hours <br /> a year. <br /> PLANNING BOARD - Ms. Greelish asked what the new Assistant Town <br /> Planner is being paid? Mr. Whritenour stated that the request came <br /> in at $32,000. M-r-.-_Whritenour-stated-that-it--wou]:d-be-redone <br /> because it is grade 5 and it should not be. <br /> Ms. Sullivan mentioned that there was money funding an alternate <br /> Board of Appeals Secretary. There should not be money budgeted for <br /> that, according to Ms. Sullivan. <br /> TOWN HALL EXPENSE - Mr. Whritenour stated that they had $40,000 <br /> extra in this Expense Account to operate the S. G. Davis School. <br /> He mentioned that Dr. DeMoura transferred $40,000 out of their <br /> expense budget. Mr. Goggin asked if the Executive Secretary could <br /> get, a�l�ist,of.what�the_.bu ldings-expenses-a-re=and-what-they cost? <br /> TOWN HALL BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS - Mr. Whritenour stated that <br /> $68,700 is the cost of the cleaning contract. Only $20,000 is used <br /> for the buildings and grounds contract. He stated that it is only <br /> $20,000 for all of the buildings for the year for maintenance. <br /> Ms r-Greelish asked-why=the-Town=was--not_leas ng-a-,copier? <br /> POLICE - Mr. Whritenour mentioned that the budget does not <br /> included raises. It includes addition of 2 police officers. The <br /> positions are already formed but vacant. Ms. King stated that two <br /> police officers had been made sergeants, not two police officers <br /> positions created. The two vacancies were filled this year, <br /> according to the Executive Secretary. Ms. Greelish asked that now <br /> the Selectmen were recommending two additional. The answer was <br /> yes. Mr. Ferriday asked how it was determined that two additional <br /> police officers would make the Town safer? Mr. Goggin asked if <br /> there were any national statistics available? Mr,Whritenour-_would <br /> look-.into-getting,, the-.Committee some information, <br /> FIRE - Mr. Whritenour mentioned that the Selectmen were not <br /> supporting any new positions. Steps are included. Ms. King asked <br /> what the $29,000 was in Capital? Mr. Whritenour answered that <br /> $17,000 is for a new 4-wheel drive vehicle and the remaining <br />
