6 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 25, 1999 <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Review of Town Meeting Warrant: <br /> Article#8: To appropriate from available funds, the amount of <br /> up to $50,000 to the Mashpee River Dredging Permit <br /> Account. <br /> Agreed upon allotment: $35,000. <br /> Article#9: To appropriate $200,000 to the Waterways Maintenance <br /> Account for the dredging of the Mashpee River. <br /> Article postponed. <br /> Article#10: To appropriate the amount of$50,000 to the Waterways <br /> Maintenance Account to be used for maintaining Mashpee <br /> Waterways, including the dredging of Waquoit and <br /> Popponesset Bays,and for additional boat and navigational <br /> aid equipment. <br /> To appropriate as follows: $47,000 <br /> $17,000 to the Waterways Equipment Account <br /> $30,000 to the Waterways Maintenance Account <br /> The Board agreed to maintain separate, the Waterways Equipment <br /> Account and Waterways Maintenance Account. All expenditures fall <br /> under the direction of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Deborah Dami,the Town Clerk was present to discuss the following <br /> articles with the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Article#17: Consent Calendar—The Board of Selectmen at their <br /> discretion,may designate certain warrant articles that it <br /> believes to be non-controversial,to be part of a Consent <br /> Calendar. <br /> Article#18: To add to the bylaw, action to track the number of yard <br /> sales that takes place in a calendar year. <br /> The above article was deferred for additional review. <br />
