2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> September 13, 1999 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Acceptance of Engineering Services Proposal: <br /> The Board of Selectmen reviewed the recommendation of the Waterways <br /> Commission and HarborMaster relative to proposals received seeking <br /> Engineering Services to obtain permits to dredge the Mashpee River. <br /> Three proposals were received on July 14, 1999. The Source Selection <br /> Committee formed to evaluate the technical proposals ranked them in <br /> order according to the criteria set forth in the Request for Proposal. <br /> The proposal as received from Woods Hole Group was deemed most <br /> comprehensive. The project team is highly qualified with excellent <br /> technical credentials tailored to the permitting issues faced by the Town. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to accept the proposal from <br /> the Woods Hole Group for Engineering Services in the amount of <br /> $59,230 as recommended,and authorize the Town Administrator <br /> to enter into contract negotiations with the successful bidder on <br /> behalf of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Blythe. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Mash a 2000 Committee—Park <br /> Joanne l;erragamo,Mashpee 2000 Committee Chairman was present to <br /> discuss plans for the Millennium Park proposed in celebration of memorial <br /> 2000. The 3.62-acre site is situated south of Route 130, west of Great <br /> Neck Road and north of Collins Lane. <br /> Dan Solien, Landscape Architect was present to discuss the scope of the <br /> project with members of the Board and interested public. A Veteran's <br /> Memorial Garden and Performance Area are proposed at the subject <br /> location in addition to the planting of a Liberty Elm tree. <br />
