6 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> _ Minutes <br /> September 13, 1999 <br /> 4 APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> 3 <br /> �— Attorney Robert Nulls—Golf Course Land Proposal: (continued) <br /> The Selectmen have agreed to sponsor the Town Meeting article to obtain <br /> clear title to an equal acreage of land adjacent to the Bickerstaffe <br /> Conservation area. In addition,the creation of legally established walking <br /> trail easements in favor of the general public shall be established along the <br /> pond. <br /> In exchange for the Town's abandonment,the Town shall obtain clear title <br /> to the "Edgar Tobey"parcels and land currently owned by Nicholas <br /> Pappas, et. Al. Trustees of Olde Yarmouth Ridge R.T. The Town shall <br /> also have the right to negotiate a long-term lease for the right-to-manage <br /> their actively farmed cranberry bogs. <br /> Attorney Mark Haney, Land Court Examiner discussed his review of the <br /> subject parcels with the Selectmen and Treasurer/Tax Collector. Many of <br /> the lots have title problems,and are not accurately reflected on assessing <br /> maps. An in-depth discussion followed. Anne Shaw, Treasurer/Tax <br /> Collector agreed to further review the issue. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Blythe to authorize Selectman Leveille to <br /> negotiate the Cotuit Golf/Mashpee proposal on behalf of the Board <br /> with the assistance of the Town Planner to bring forth an agreement <br /> to sell the lots in Santuit Park. In exchange for the Town's sale,to the <br /> highest bidder at an auction or to the most qualified proposal in <br /> response to an RFP,the above referenced provisions shall be strongly <br /> considered. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
