7 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> November 15, 1999 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Road Signage: <br /> The Board approved the installation of a new reflective road sign on <br /> primary and collector roads as recommended by the DPW Director. <br /> The product is more visible and will improve driver safety. <br /> Future Road Projects: <br /> Mr. Taylor outlined a draft of future road projects for discussion purposes. <br /> The three priority projects include; the reconstruction of South Sandwich <br /> Road and Hooppole Road, and the Route 130 and Great Neck Road <br /> intersection improvement project. <br /> J A total of twenty-one projects are considered in the five-year road <br /> program set forth by the Director of Public Works. <br /> Conversion of Private Way: <br /> Mr. Taylor deemed Algoquin Avenue as the highest priority for <br /> conversion to a public road. It serves as the primary access to over <br /> fourteen other roads and many residents. The road is in serious disrepair. <br /> Safety issues continue to be a concern. <br /> The Board agreed to address all major roads in the above-mentioned area. <br /> Mr. Taylor was directed to prepare and article for the May 2000 town <br /> meeting for the Selectmen's review. <br />
