Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 4 <br /> February 24, 1998 <br /> CapitallmMuementProgram: <br /> Discussion followed with regards to the multi-year Capital Improvement <br /> Plan for the Town of Mashpee. Mr. Bailey suggested the Board bring forth <br /> initiatives before the committee for future requests relative to the maintenance <br /> and quality of Town owned buildings. <br /> The Board requested cost estimates to install an irrigation system at the <br /> newly renovated Town Hall facility. The Cable Advisory Committee will <br /> also be consulted with regards to live cable connection for the main meeting <br /> room of Town Hall. <br /> Recess: 3:15 p.m. Meeting Resumed: 3:25 p.m. <br /> Building,Inspector. <br /> William Hauck, Inspector of Buildings requested the Board consider the <br /> employment of additional temporary staffing to his office to assist with the <br /> overload of inspections. <br /> It was noted that impacts to special services as a result of the Southport <br /> development will require additional office support. Mr. Hauck indicated that <br /> he will issue 100 building permits to Southport this year for their renovation and <br /> phasing schedule. It was noted that he issued 178 building permits for the entire <br /> town last year. <br /> The developers of Southport have offered to donate a sum estimated between <br /> $25,000 - $30,000 in impact fees to assist the Town of Mashpee with the <br /> increased workload informed Mr. Hauck. <br /> Projected wages for a full-time Senior Clerk, temporary, one year with benefits <br /> amount to $24,904.65. An additional computer station in the office has been <br /> projected to cost; $4,995. <br /> The Board directed Mr. Whritenour to review the above cost analysis and <br /> associated union issues for additional consideration. The developers of <br /> Southport will be requested to place their donation offer in writing to the <br /> Selectmen. <br /> I <br /> l <br />
