Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 9 <br /> March 16, 1998 <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Dispatching Proposals (continued) <br /> i <br /> Chief Baker recommended the Board relocate the Fire Dispatch due to <br /> continued logistical challenges within the current dispatch level. It was <br /> noted that the contract would allow the Fire Chief to have direct input <br /> on operational issues, as with the 911 agreement. The contract also has a <br /> 90 day termination clause. The cost for the move would be approximately <br /> 51,490 (one time)plus$38,500 annually. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the operation of <br /> a Fire Dispatch Center for the Town of Mashpee by the Barnstable <br /> Sheriffs Department as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Reauest ofMashnee Community Concert Committee. Inc.: <br /> Correspondence was received from Jim Vaccaro, Chairman of the Mashpee <br /> Community Concert Committee dated March 11, 1998 requesting the Board <br /> approve the Annual Mashpee Night at the Pops on Saturday, July 25, 1998 <br /> with a rain date of July 26, 1998. <br /> Mr. Vaccaro requested the Selectmen support this endeavor, as <br /> in the past and grant a one-day wine and malt beverage license for the <br /> event, waive all Town fees, and provide the necessary public safety services <br /> on that evening. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Frye to approve the request of the <br /> Mashpee Community Concert Committee,Inc. as stipulated. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br />
