Board of Selectmen Minutes May 4, 1998 NEW BUSINESS- Resignation from Selectman Marstersfrom the Communky Warking Action Group- Selectman Marsters requested the Board accept his resignation from the Community Working Action Group due to increased responsibilities. Motion made by Selectman Frye to accept the resignation of Selectman Marsters from the Community Working Action Group with regret. Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. Selectman Caffyn, a member of the Senior Management Team has volunteered to accept the appointment as Mashpee's representative to the above referenced committee. She suggested the Board consider other representation to expand the number of participants. It was noted that Mashpee has two representatives, and other towns such as Falmouth have four. A letter of recommendation on behalf of the Selectmen will issued to the Community Working Action Group for Selectman Caffyn's appointment. AmQrican Lung Associationfor Annual Aujumn Esc Esc=Bike Trek- The American Lung Association submitted communication to the Board in a memo dated March 30, 1998 requesting approval to pass through the Town of Mashpee during the bike trek. The 14th Annual Autumn Escape Bike Trek will take place on Friday, September 11, 1998 through Sunday, September 13, 1998. It is a 160 mile event that begins in Plymouth, and concludes in Provincetown. Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to grant the American Lung Association approval to pass through the Town of Mashpee on the above referenced dates. Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0.
